Warren City Schools Report Card Data

Based upon the Ohio Department of Education report card calculations the Warren City Schools has every reason to celebrate that they have moved out of Academic Watch and into Continuous Improvement.  One of the major accomplishments of the students and staff in the Warren City Schools was moving the District’s Value Added designation from BELOW to ABOVE.  What this data indicates is that the students in the Warren City Schools have shown more than a year’s growth in the 2011-2012 school year. The District is still waiting for additional data to be released which could move the District up in designation to the rating of Effective. The District is working with Ohio Department of Education for release of this data.

Additionally, the District is celebrating the rating increase at their Jefferson K-8 building from moving from Academic Watch to Continuous Improvement and their Lincoln K-8 building moving from Continuous Improvement to Effective.  All of the schools including Willard K-8, McGuffey K-8 and Warren G. Harding showed improvements in their Performance Index, contributing to the overall success and rating increase of the District.

All of these assumptions are based upon the Ohio Department of Education report card rules and calculations for the determination of report card rankings. Melissa Watson, Director of Teaching and Learning, stated that “all of these accomplishments were made possible by the hard work and dedication of the students, staff, their families and Warren City community”.

  1. We are very proud of all of you. Keeping moving forward with what is best for your students. You have a challenging vocation but I’m guessing rewarding when you see a child grow in their learning and self-esteem.

    Well done.

Let’s keep moving in the right direction with this “Work in PROGRESS”.

  3. When will the report card be released? The one on the central reporting site is still the 2010-2011 card.

    • You can find the Preliminary Data here: Preliminary Data

The Ohio Department of Education has not released the official Report Cards for this past year yet due to an ongoing investigation into several schools in the state. (Warren is NOT one of those schools)

  4. what dose the I and the N mean on the report card thats my question?

    • Where are you seeing the I and the N? I don’t see anywhere on the State Report Card that list’s I’s and N’s?

I would guess your referring to a K-5th grade students individual report card? If so, you can find those grading breakdowns here: District Grading Policy
