Services
The Gifted and Talented program identifies outstanding students in four key areas:
- Superior Cognitive Ability
- Specific Academic Ability
- Reading
- Language arts
- Math
- Social Studies
- Science - Creative Thinking
- Visual and Performing Arts
- Art
- Music
- Drama
- Dance
Services for gifted and talented students are designed to provide a continuum of services to meet individual needs and may include:
- Advanced groupings
- Differentiated curriculum
- Pull-out enrichment opportunitys
- Academic extra-curricular activities
- Post secondary options
- Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses at the high school
- Individualized plans
