Services

The Gifted and Talented program identifies outstanding students in four key areas:

  • Superior Cognitive Ability
  • Specific Academic Ability
    - Reading
    - Language arts
    - Math
    - Social Studies
    - Science
  • Creative Thinking
  • Visual and Performing Arts
    - Art
    - Music
    - Drama
    - Dance

Services for gifted and talented students are designed to provide a continuum of services to meet individual needs and may include:

  • Advanced groupings
  • Differentiated curriculum
  • Pull-out enrichment opportunitys
  • Academic extra-curricular activities
  • Post secondary options
  • Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses at the high school
  • Individualized plans
