Middle School Track has record breaking year

Our Middle School Track team is a great bunch of boys and girls who show awesome sportsmanship for their teammates weather they win or loose. They cheer each other on and help and encourage one another.
The girls definitely dominated in events placed in this year. At the AAC Conference meet ( Red Tier) on May 11, 2017 @ Canfield HS our girls came in first place out of seven schools with a total of 108 pts. We also broke two school records that day one in long jump by Na’Veyah Parisi, a seventh grader at Lincoln PK-8. The old record was set in 2010 with a jump of 15″-2.25 and the new record in 2017 was set with a jump of 15″6.75. Faith Burch, an eighth grader also from Lincoln, broke the 200 hurdles record. The old record was set in 2014 and was a running time of 30.73 and it was broken with a running time of 30.37.
Then on May 13, 2017 we traveled to Lakeview HS for the Trumbull County Meet where our girls came in second place overall, battling 17 schools in the county, and received a runner up trophy, which will be placed at Lincoln school. Faith Burch broke two more records in the meet. One on the 100 hurdles. The old time was set in 2007 with a run of 15.60 and the new time in 2017 is 15.36. The Second for the 200 hurdles. The old time was 30.40 and the new time in 2017 was 29.22. Faith also participated in the girls high jump where she received first place and won the meet MVP Award for a perfect score of thirty points. These teams are coached by Nadine Gardner,Leigh Arvin, Ashley Goff, and Kevin Brown what a great season for our young people!
