Delphi ELITE wins Back-to-back State Championships!!

This past weekend the Warren G. Harding Robotics, FIRST Team 48, Delphi ELITE traveled to Dayton along with 23 other teams for the Ohio FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) State Championship to defend their 2013 State Championship title. The top 24 teams in the state, based on their regular season results, were invited to participate in the event. Team 48 was ranked 17th going into the event, and were selected as the 1st pick in the draft by the #1 seed alliance caption. We were partnered with FRC Team 695 (The First Responders) from Beachwood, OH and FRC Team 5146 (The Rusty Knights) a rookie team from Hebron, OH for the elimination rounds. After a few very close matches, Team 48 and the 1st seeded alliance advanced through the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the finals to win the State Championship! Each round of the elimination rounds are best of 3. After winning the first finals match and losing a VERY close second match, the 3rd match was winner take all. The 3rd match was back and forth until the end when Team 48 managed to block 2 last minute shots to secure the win.

After the victory last season at the inaugural State Championship, Team 48 become Back-to-Back State Champions.

Below are links to the video of our 2 winning Finals matches. Each round is a best of 3, and these are the 2 finals matches we won. We are the team farthest from the camera on the right (with the red bumpers and the black panels on the robot) at the start of each match.
