School Visitor Procedures
The District welcomes and encourages visits by parents and other adult residents of the community. However, for the educational program to continue undisturbed and to prevent the intrusion of disruptive persons into the schools, the District has adopted the following visitor rules. (Board Policy #9150)
The Jefferson K-2 location offers easy access for parents and guests with parking located on the left side of the driveway, prior to the bus circle.
Parents and guests can only enter through the front doors, make a left turn at the rotunda and sign in with Principal Carrie Boyer or pod Secretary Melanie Box.
The Jefferson 3-5 location has limited parking available. Parents are encouraged to park along Austin Avenue with the flow of traffic as our driveway is reserved for
school busses and the safe delivery and pick-up of our students. Parents and guests can enter the building through the front doors and report directly to the main
office to sign in with Principal Bill Nicholson or pod Secretary Stacey Pitzer.
The Jefferson 6-8 has ample parking for parents and guests on both the North and South sides of the building. Parents interested in meeting with the attendance
secretaries or scheduling an appointment with Principals Wendy Hartzell or Chris Neifer, can do so by parking on the South (Alden) side of the building and entering
through the first set of doors. Once inside, please report directly to the 6-8 office of Secretaries Allison Sekula and Linda Seagraves.
Parents wishing to sign their child out for an appointment or any other reason, should park on the North side of the building and sign their child out of the 3-5 office.
For security and safety reasons, all students located at the Reserve location are signed out of the 3-5 office with Secretary Cathy DeMarco.
